  1. Saw “Jack the Giant Slayer” March 1st in a half-packed theater of children with their parents, teens, and 20-somethings. Everyone was engaged throughout and seemed to like the film – as did I, even though I agreed with all the points you gentlemen made.

    Think a lot of the success is due to the amount of practical effects and how well the actors engaged with the CGI characters. I have to applaud some of the visuals which were unexpected, such as, when Jack looks down into the water trough and what he sees there or Jack looking up through the water when he was hiding below the surface of the pond.

    Would definitely watch this again and I am eager for a sequel.
