The Last Kiss

January 15th, 2007 by Sam

Alright here is the dealio. I let my wife choose the movie and she chose The Last Kiss, so yes it not normally a movie that I would watch. But it is good to have some range in movie viewing so here goes nothing.

The Last Kiss stars Zach Braff, some other guys and some other girls. But one common theme is they all have problems. In this film it focuses more on the male problems, though there is some female difficulties that make it in the film (obviously the feminist had some say in the movie). The problems the characters have in the film range from the married for over 30 years, the single, the living together couple, the married with children (ha ha that was a tv show), and the single college coed. Considering all the stuff I just wrote I now realize the film did a good job of balancing the various issues that each of the film's characters have.

Many of the problems stem from what the chick from The OC "I think we are going through mid life crisis sooner in life." If you take that statement and apply it to each character that is in this film, and you get to see how they let it play out depending on their circumstances.

Quick Review
Plot/Storyline
Not a bad idea for movie, just really not interesting enough to enjoy. Tries to strike a chord with the audience, ends up breaking all the strings.
6.5
Acting/Characters
The actors and actresses themselves work okay, the script and character development does not.
6.5
Visuals/Sound
What do you wnat me to look at and what do you want me to hear? The movie does only the basics.

Wouldn't recommend to others, unless you are in the movie.
