Anyone know?
I'm back, new releases, and United 93!

Well, I am back from my trip to New York City...I was actually back a couple days ago, so sorry for the lack of updates, but better late then never. There are a lot of movies out right now that I would like to see like Night at the Museum, A Prusuit of Happiness, and Pan's Labyrinth (which is only in limited release and not near me!). Sorry, I haven't been able to review them, but I've been pretty busy. I hope to get back into it the next couple of weeks though, so keep checking back.
As for this weeks new releases...nothing too exciting. There is Code Name: The Cleaner, Freedom Writers, Happily N'Ever After and Home of the Brave. There is also a movie called Thr3e that is opening in select cities. Out of all of those, the only thing that remotely interests me is Thr3e, so I guess I may try and review it, but I'll most likely check out one of the current releases that I mentioned earlier.
Also, after visiting Ground Zero in New York, I came back and wanted to research alittle about it and wanted to watch United 93, the story of the 9/11 hijacked plane that failed to reach it's target because the passengers decided to take action. This is a movie that I wanted to see in theaters, but for some reason never got around too, possibily because I knew it would be the kind of movie that would just bum me out for the rest of the day.
Well, after watching it last night, it is definitely that type of movie, but man, it is a great film as well. The use of little known actors and real people who were there on 9/11 makes it feel like you are witnessing the actual event, not watching a renactment. It's a very emotional movie and you will find yourself hoping that the passengers make it, even though we all know that was not the case. But we do witness their bravery and that is why I recommend watching it. Although it's terribly sad, it's also amazing to watch and know that these characters were based on real individuals whose actions and sacrifice saved many more lives. One of the best movies of 2006, without a doubt.
Merry Christmas and out for a week!

Merry Christmas! I am writing this as I am packing for a trip to New York City. I have decided to leave my Macbook behind and because of that, there won't be any updates unless I get to a computer or Sam decides to post something. See you in a week!

Here are my top ten favorite Christmas movies. I have omitted some short films, like Rudolph, The Grinch, and Charlie Brown Christmas, to keep it limited to full length movies, but those are favorites as well. It was very hard to rank these, so take their ranks with a grain of salt, the are all great at Christmas. So, without further delay, my top ten Christmas films.
1. Christmas Vacation
2. White Christmas
3. A Christmas Story
4. It's a Wonderful Life
5. Nightmare Before Christmas
6. The Santa Clause
7. Scrooged
8. Die Hard (yeah, that's right, Die Hard)
9. Home Alone
10. A Christmas Carol
Sam's will be up later this week. So check back for that! In the mean time, leave comments telling us your favorite Christmas movies!
