With the Oscars taking place this past weekend, I decided I should post my favorite films released in 2006. The following films, I feel, were some of the best from last year. Actually ranking them is somewhat difficult, as they are all different from each other, so take that into account. And now, my top ten favorite films from 2006!
1. The Departed
2. Pan's Labyrinth
3. United 93
4. Little Miss Sunshine
5. Children of Men
6. Borat
7. Casino Royale
8. V for Vendetta
9. The Prestige
10. Apocalypto

I did say in the original post that it was really hard to rate the movies as they are very different. Some drama, some action, and some comedy. So, putting them in any sort of order was tough. I agree that wanting to watch a movie again is a plus, but that doesn't necessarily make it a better movie then a great film that you never want to see again. And there are those films. United 93 for example is outstanding... but I don't want to watch it again.
You definitely have to check out the top four and Borat! They are great!

Brint, I have to admit up front that I have not seen all of the movies that made your list. In fact, I have only seen 40% of them. But of the movies that I have seen in 2006, V for Vendetta and Casino Royale would be much higher on my list than 7 & 8. This has a lot to do with my taste in movies, but I give a LOT of credence to whether I would watch the movie again or even purchase it. Well, I have seen V more than once and plan on at least watching Royale again if not purchasing it. Children of Men, probably not. I won't say that I would never watch it again, but I most likely won't seek it out. Unfortunately I haven't seen any of your top 4 YET (I plan to), and I most likely won't see Borat. Anyway, wanted to offer my thoughts taht 7 & 8 were underrated.
