Sorry for the lack of new reviews this week everyone. I've had a lot of stuff going on and because of some car expenses, I'll have to be picky when it comes to seeing movies. This means I might have to skip some new releases that we covered in the Summer Movie Preview, sorry about that.
Also, Movie Bs might be coming to an end in the next couple of weeks.

Hey everyone, I'm back with a preview of some of the new releases that are hitting theaters today. So, let's take a look:
1408 stars John Cusack as a horror writer and skeptic who checks into a hunted hotel room despite warnings from the manger and begins to experience paranormal events. The story seems pretty simple but it looks like there will be some good scares. As a fan of horror films, I'm looking forward to this.
Evan Almighty stars Steve Carrell as Congressman Evan Baxter who is commanded by God to build an ark and prepare for a flood. Not really a sequel to Bruce Almighty, but a similar premise. As I said in the summer movie preview, I think it looks like a good movie for families and looks kind of funny, I'm just not that interested in seeing it in theaters.
A Mighty Heart tells the story of Mariane Pearl, the wife of Daniel Pearl, the reporter who was kidnapped and murdered by terrorists in 2002. Starring Angelina Jolie, the film details Mariane's painful ordeal as she struggles to find her husband.
There you have it, this weeks new releases. I'm gonna try and see 1408 this weekend, but I'm also interested in the Russian film, Day Watch, which is currently in limited release, but playing in St. Louis. And along with both of those, I may attend a charity screening of Serenity at midnight this Saturday. There's a lot going on around here, but check back this weekend for possible reviews of 1408 and Day Watch.

Hey everyone, you may remember that I posted the first picture of the Joker from the next Batman movie, The Dark Knight, a couple weeks ago. Well, now, thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have our first glimpse of the new Batsuit in the movie.
It doesn't look like a whole lot has changed from Batman Begins, it still has the armor look for example, but there are some subtle changes that the magazine points out. Check out a scan from the mag below.

I personally really like the changes. As a batgeek, I was happy with the suit in Begins, but I've always hated how Batman has to turn his body to look at something, but that seems to have been solved here. I also like how it has kept with the theme of the first film and this seems like a natural progression of the suit with tweaks to make it better.
Man, I can't wait to see him in action. Should be cool.

Some of you may have remembered my post of the Typical music video for Mute Math, the band that my brother-in-law does sound for and my friend is the drummer. Well, it turns out that the band has recorded the Transformers theme which will appear on the official soundtrack for the film. Pretty cool.
I first heard about them doing this from my brother-in-law and recently came across a crappy version on the net that some were attributing to Mute Math. That is not the case though and you can head over to Mute Math's myspace page to listen to their version. And while you are there, check out some of their other material.
