Merry Christmas and out for a week!

Monday, December 25th, 2006 by Brent

Merry Christmas! I am writing this as I am packing for a trip to New York City. I have decided to leave my Macbook behind and because of that, there won't be any updates unless I get to a computer or Sam decides to post something. See you in a week!

Top Ten Christmas Movies!

Thursday, December 21st, 2006 by Brent

Here are my top ten favorite Christmas movies. I have omitted some short films, like Rudolph, The Grinch, and Charlie Brown Christmas, to keep it limited to full length movies, but those are favorites as well. It was very hard to rank these, so take their ranks with a grain of salt, the are all great at Christmas. So, without further delay, my top ten Christmas films.

1. Christmas Vacation
2. White Christmas
3. A Christmas Story
4. It's a Wonderful Life
5. Nightmare Before Christmas
6. The Santa Clause
7. Scrooged
8. Die Hard (yeah, that's right, Die Hard)
9. Home Alone
10. A Christmas Carol

Sam's will be up later this week. So check back for that! In the mean time, leave comments telling us your favorite Christmas movies!

Yahoo! Movies has high definitions of the full length Transformers trailer online right now. This looks a lot better then I thought it would, and with all those robots and explosions, it will surely be a fun popcorn flick. Check it out here!

New Releases and Little Miss Sunshine on DVD!

Monday, December 18th, 2006 by Brent

Hey everyone, Brent here with a look at some of the new releases that will be in theaters this Friday. First, is Rocky Balboa, the sixth installment in the Rocky films, which actually looks decent. Although there have been six Rocky films, some good, some bad, the character is pretty fun to watch. Night at the Museum also opens, which tells the story of a security guard (Ben Stiller) who must watch over a Museum where the exhibits come to life. Look for a review from me on this one.

Other releases include the CIA thriller, The Good Shepherd, and the football film, We Are Marshall. So far, early reviews for these two are pretty poor, but I hope they are somewhat entertaining.

There is a DVD release this week that I highly recommend as well. Little Miss Sunshine was a semi-independent movie released this past August starring, Steve Carrell and Greg Kinnear about a diverse and complicated family trying to get their daughter to the Little Miss Sunshine pageant. I really loved this movie and I highly recommend renting, if not buying it.

Also, look for our list of our top ten favorite Christmas Films to come later this week.
