Movie BS Summer Movie Preview!
Sunday, April 29th, 2007 by Brent
Hey everyone, I had planned to upload this on Saturday, but I had some troubles trying to upload over at YouTube. Thankfully, Google Video allowed me to upload it with no troubles at all. Some quality was sacrificed to make the file a little bit smaller and faster to download, so some of the text may be hard to read. Sorry about that.
So video issues aside, I hope you enjoy Sam and my take on some of the major releases coming this summer and feel free to leave comments about movies you are looking forward to that we didn't have time to include.
If you aren't a fan of the Google Video version, you can also download the Quicktime version. Just right-click and select "Save as" to download to your computer.
New Releases for April 27th, 2007!

Hey everyone, I hope you are all having a good week and have had a chance to check out Sam and my video review of Hot Fuzz. If you plan to head to the theater this weekend, you might want to keep Hot Fuzz in mind, because most of the new releases look pretty bad. Here's the run down on them.
The Condemned stars wrestler Stone Cold Steve Austin as one of several death row inmates given the opportunity to play a deadly game on a remote island, where the last one alive will earn their freedom. Now, I don't think this looks all that great, but if the director and cast embrace the silliness, then it might just make for an entertaining and action filled hour and a half. Thats a big if though as this looks pretty bad.
The Invisible tells the story of a young man who is brutally attacked, but is not quite dead. As a result his spirit is left in limbo and while he is not dead, he is invisible to the living. This looks kind of interesting, but I'll probably wait and see what other reviews have to say about it.
Kickin' It Old Skool is about a break-dancer in the 80's who falls into a coma and then wakes up 20 years later. He's now in a unfamiliar word and enters a dance competition to try and win back his dream girl. This one looks pretty bad.
Next stars Nicolas Cage as a man who overacts because he has to make it look like he can see into the future. Government agents are after him, blah, blah, this looks horrible.
All of these, with the exception of The Invisible look absolutely horrid to me. So, I guess there is a possibility that a review for The Invisible might appear, but I think I'd rather see Hot Fuzz again if anything. So, while it is unlikely that I'll have a review up of any of these films, there is one thing to look forward to...The Super Summer Movie Preview! It will be up this weekend, so check back for that. In the meantime, have a good one.

Hello my fellow friends and fans of moviebs. I apologize for the lack of
posting here recently. I should have written earlier to tell people that my wife and I are enjoying a vacation in Breckenridge, Colorado at the time, and let me tell you it is gorgeous.
But fear not loyal subjects, moviebs has a very special review session coming up within the next week. I am not going to say much more, but take our word for it, it wil make up for the lack of reviews that have been put out by myself. Until then, enjoy some of the scenic views, that my wife and I are enjoying from our windows at the hotel.
